Sometimes physiologic data is changeable and appropriate with the steps in estrus cycle. This research had aimed to distinguish the description of body temperature, breathing frequency, and pulse in bligon goat during the estrus cycle. The researcher used 5 female bligon goats age 2-3 years, weight between 29-40 kg, and normal estrus cycles for all of the goats between 20-23 days. These research animals were raised in the individual stage stalls which are located in Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Gajah Mada University. The data gathering was done in the afternoon at 4.00-5.00 p.m., during one estrus cycle. The researcher measured body temperature, breathing frequency, and pulse as the research variables. The result of their data measurement was analyzed by Analysis of Variant (Anova).
The research result proved that the average of body temperature in estrus phase 38,96 ± 0,14°C, luteal phase 38,76 ± 0,09°C and proestrus phase 38,82 ± 0,10°C, and the analysis result of body temperature variant proved the changing of inter-phase significantly (P<0,05). The average of breathing frequency in estrus phase 46,80 ± 6,72 per minute, luteal phase 56,86 ± 8,60 per minute and proestrus phase 46,67 ± 7,26 per minute. The average of pulse frequency in estrus phase 84,00 ± 9,80 per minute, luteal phase 77,74 ± 5,43 per minute, proestrus phase 76,40 ± 9,42 per minute. From the analysis result of breathing and pulse frequency variant in every phase showed that the changing was insignificant (P>0,05).
According to the research result, it can be conclude that every phase during the estrus cycle gives a big influence toward the body temperature, but doesn’t give any influence toward the breathing frequency and pulse.
